Not the euro- that would probably have meant a bigger increase. But
everything is high here, including wages- which is one reason that so
many Europeans seem to want to work and live here at the moment. As I
said, I'd be perfectly happy if everything here had to be priced in
pounds and euros. It would certainly make things easier for the number
of Spaniards, and Germand and French speakers I bumped into in the shops
today.

Greed?

Prices here are noticeably higher than in most of the rest of Europe.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.
Barbeques on fire by the chalets past the castle headland
I watched the gift shops glitter in the darkness off the Newborough gate
All these moments will be lost in time, like icecream on the beach
Time for tea.

Endless patience with the hard of thinking mate.

If they're bright enough to work a computer they should be bright enough for
some sort of re-education...

Indeed they are. Why are they higher in Norway than here?

And the euro would have simply given a reason for more of an increase.

It doesn't tend to bother them, as they can keep accommodation costs
fairly low- usually renting with several people in a house.

I don't want to get into the housing market debate, but if people want
to pay stupid prices for properties, then that's their problem.

As I'm sure you know, the traffic is much heavier in this direction at
the moment. And they're not all from Poland.
