Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knew of discounts or free additional drivers
for avis rentals. We're looking at renting with them and wanted to see
if AAA, Costco, BJ's etc have additional drivers included in their
price? This person is just a friend and not a spouse.

Their website doesn't say. Any past experiences?

Reserving through USAA waives the additional driver fee but only for
spouses and other USAA members, so it wouldn't work even if you were a
USAA member, unless the other person were also a USAA member.

Avis actually has the lowest fee for the additional driver at $25.
Budget and Hertz charge $45.

US AA? But I thought membership is anonymous. Is there something I
don't know about this 12-Step recovery group for alcoholics? When did
they start getting discounts or rental cars? ;-)

We rented in AUS from AVIS and there was No Charge for an extra driver
(family/spouse) over 25 yrs
