From: John Sisker on 17 Jul 2010 14:29 Marcia, Sorry that I had to respond in this manner, stripping out all the other threads. But with this out of control troll blatantly stealing the identity of others, including your truly, it was important that I communicate to you directly. We discussed this before, but I forgot to ask. Did you get to do any panning for gold and exploring a mine while you were in Alaska? I know this was a topic that many of us were involved with, so was just wondering if this event was indeed on your agenda? If so, how did it go? Find any gold? I had mentioned before that there is gold panning at Knott's Berry Farm here in Buena Park, California. You said that you have been to Knott's. When was that? Any comparisons? While some ports in Alaska are indeed made over to be more touristy, on the other hand, Knott's is an amusement park. Yet, both could be fun anyway if we're not expecting too much. By the way, and speaking of amusement parks, today Disneyland is 55 years old. Smooth sailing to all... John Sisker

I used to live in Los Angeles, and I'm guessing the last time I went to Knotts was back in the 80s. We did, however go to Disneyland last December. Marcia |
