From: octoad on 3 Jun 2010 22:30 As I predicted, but even much earlier than I thought, Harry Reid is now ahead of all possible Republican challengers in a recent poll. "Reid is ahead of Tea Party-backed candidate Sharron Angle 43 percent to 37 percent, he leads Republican Sue Lowden 42 percent to 38 percent as well as long-shot GOP challenger Danny Tarkanian 43 percent to 39 percent." And Harry hasn't even begun to really spend yet. Guess NV voters have recoiled in horror at the bizarre positions and sleazy shenanigans evident in the Republican primary contest. Man, did they overreach with right wing nuttiness or not? A sensible conservative could have had a really good shot. Obviously its still early, Harry could still blow it somehow, but it sure looks good for him now. So where are those AVLV posters who were predicting a massive Tea Party inspired blowout? Where is all that anti-incumbent sentiment? What about Reid allegedly forgetting all about the voters of Nevada? O

I'll bet the Republicans will pull it together and Harry will be the second Majority Leader in a row to bite the dust. BR "It ain't over til its over."--Yogi Berra

I'll bet the Republicans will pull it together and Harry will be the second Majority Leader in a row to bite the dust. BR ****************************************************** As I said, its still early and he could still blow it, but considering that he's ALREADY ahead in the polls, and considering that he has $9 million in cash with an expectation of spending $20-$25 million, and considering that all the Republican challengers are so fiscally inept that their campaigns are all in debt already, what on earth do you base that little prediction on? A sudden desire by voters to trade chickens for heart surgery? An urgent demand to treat rapists and murderers to Scientology spa treatments? Wake up and smell the coffee--the Tea Party is more a media creation, a hype, a story, than it is an electoral political force. O

Air some stupid ads for "We hate xxxxx" and some smear things and they can sway the weaker minds. -- On most days, its just not worth the effort of chewing through the restraints..
