You might be able to see me in there somewhere, if you look hard
enough.

The audio really sucks, but it's interesting that someone got video at
all as security was being real camera-nazi in the venue that night.

I love to listen to someone playing a Les Paul! A truly great guitar. I
took my wife to see Steve Vai at the House of Blues last year...a great
great show. If you can ever see him, Eric Johnson or Joe Satriani...Go see
them.....You won't be disappointed.

How about going and seeing Les Paul play a gig.

Every Sunday near Times Square in New York City.

At least he was up til a few years ago, last time I was there.

Be careful what you ask for. The key word here is PLAYS! In 1980, I
inherited a 1977 Les Paul Custom that still sits in the corner unplayed.
Once in a while, I pull it out, change the strings, plug it in, and give it
a spin, but sadly, it is truly wasted on me. It belonged to my late brother
so there is a huge emotional attachment. I keep hoping that I will hookup
with some talented musician who will do it justice. I also have two rather
nice acoustics (a '65 Gibson LG-1 and a '97 Breedlove C22) that I tend to
torture (along with anyone within earshot) with a bit more frequency
depending on my mood.

I caught Steve Vai with Dweezil Zappa (and Terry Bozzio) a few months back
performing Frank's music and it was a great show.

Sweet guitar.

I am sure it is not wasted on you. Most people aren't techincally
gifted, but who cares. Even if you can only play "row, row, row your
boat" on that thing, admit it, it's still a blast. Get that thing
out of the corner!

I used to play well, but now age, hard living, and complete lack of
practice for years and years has left me with only a American Standard
Stratoscaster and 60W Princeton Chorus Amp.

It's not much, but it's a sufficient setup to remind me that I severly
suck and couldn't play backup for an elementary school garage band.

But I still torment the neighbors from time to time.

And really, isn't that the point?
