Wednesday we left the villa and as we were on the path to the bus kiosk
there was a bus there, waiting. And it was an Animal Kingdom bus too.
The driver just waited for us which was wonderful. When we got the the
park, there were "undercover" security people all over the entrance/bag
check area, even a K9 unit. I think they have upped security in light
of the events in New York City. Getting thru bag check was easy ( I
think due to the light crowds we have been experiencing so far.) We
headed back to the safari, got fast passes for 45 minutes later and got
in the 20 minute standby line. There were lots and lots of animals out.
More than I can recall in a long time. It was over cast and slightly
cooler and less humid so that may have been why. We saw a couple young
giraffes, the baby elephant and a baby rhino. And an ostrich sitting on
a real nest...

We got done with our two week safari and took a pit stop and back on the
attraction. I always ask for the back row and the second time we were
alone in it so that was grand!

After the safari, we headed to Pizzafari for a light lunch of a sandwich
and a cesar salad to share but the place was FULL of babies and some
bawling ones too. Bellies full, we headed to Festival of the Lion (I
chose to spell it correctly here for Steve) King and enjoy it all. The
bird guy and bird girl were exceptionally good; the best pair we can
recall.

We got back to the villa, rested up, shower, etc for our dinner at
bluezoo with our friends. We met at 4:30p and walked over, It looked
like the bad had just opened so we got a cocktail and eventually decided
to order dinner there too. Same menu and we didn't need to move.
Dinner was excellent! For starters there were shrimp and polenta, sushi
tuna, and salads. Dinner for me was a double of the shrimp and grits,
Andy had covina, the other couple had tuna and the yellow
snapper, fileted tableside. For desert we had some scotch, very very nice
scotch, and Andy and I shared a raspberry thingie, that was lovely.
After dinner, they went home, but they stopped by to see the villa we
are in and then went out our private door to the walkway to the parking
lot, avoiding the lobby. We really do like the location.

We changed and went over to Epcot to see Reflections. The crowds were
not bad and we decided to stand between the two gift shops. The view was
amazing. And with light crowds I could actually see it all. I think I
will bring my binocs next time so I can actually SEE what's on the
globe. I am tired of guessing. Most I can see fine but some of it goes
by so fast. I think I see dead people...

That was it! Got back to the villa in time to see some of AI which is
sooooo boring this season. Even with Harry Connick Jr.

Today, Thursday is DTD for shopping, and then Jiko wine dinner.

Ciao. Lisa
