That last week is always too long
One long week at work 'til I go back. No matter how often I go, I just can't wait to do it again. -- Caren TDC Queen of Adventureland ... 27 Jul 2010 16:12
Bob Larson exorcises the domon of Communism from Ukrainian peasants.
"All he had was a jar of honey. He had traveled far from his farm to give me all that he had. It was a big jar, weighing at least 20 plus pounds. This wasn't just any honey. Ukraine has the best honey in the world. The man held it like gold. Then he knelt at my feet and humbly bowed his head. "It's yours," h... 25 Jul 2010 00:11
While you're waiting for my trip report....
No, I still haven't gotten started on it yet. Sorry, sorry. But for those who just can't get enough of hearing about people's trips, please feel free to take a look at the two "quick highlights" posts I made on my blog. One was written on Day 4, the other written the day after I got back. These aren't in tr... 25 Jul 2010 12:59
Travelers Cheques
We are going to the world next month and I just wondered what everyone else uses for currency at the world. We have always purchased American Express travelers cheques to use on all our vacations. I like the fact I am protected, but they are also like cash. However, I heard someone say that a lot of places wi... 9 Aug 2010 15:43
Entertainment in the queues
Spinning off from tthe queue wait thread, I'm wondering if anyone takes portable entertainment along with them for the longer waits. A Gameboy for example or an iPod? Last time I went I had a mini-disk loaded up with Disney tunes that I listened to with headphones. Somehow it didn't relieve the boredom. I had ... 2 Aug 2010 22:28

World of Color Roadshow now in San Diego
The Midway certainly doesn't have the personality that the previous locations did (it's just a flat gray background), but the animation is still fun to watch. Too bad they couldn't have worked in a segment from "Tron" to juice up the geeks who are invading the city this weekend, but that movie wouldn't have fit w... 23 Jul 2010 18:04

What's the worst queue at WDW?
As a spin-off of Alpha's thread about how long you;d wait in a queue, and Amanda's comment there about BTMRR being a horrible queue, it got me thinking about my least favorite queues at WDW. I'd have to say BTMRR is up there near the top of the list. It's only saving grace is that it is shaded, but having so... 13 Aug 2010 11:26
