From: kidagain on 6 Jul 2010 23:57 Got an email from Mousemiser. They say WDW will be extending Free Dining into December. * Aug. 15 – Oct. 7, 2010 * Oct. 22 – Oct. 28, 2010 * Nov. 12 – Nov. 18, 2010 * Nov. 27 – Dec. 2, 2010 * Dec. 10 – Dec. 21, 2010 As you will notice there are blackout dates. I will have to rethink this whole trip since my reservation starts on Dec. 8th. I suppose I could cancel the whole thing and start over from the 10th. Who knows if I can get reservations again for different dates. Don't really want to go during free dining anyway. If I cancel wonder how long it takes for Disney to credit my card. Bill

I guess if I'm going to make plans, it's be the week before... Why are they doing Free Dining during December? It's been getting more and more crowded during December lately... I don't think there is much hope of that but I suppose miracles do happen! Bill

Personally, I'm afraid I side with those who aren't so fond of free dining. I wonder how this will affect crowds during the black-out dates? Weird that Dec. 3-9 is a black-out period - which covers most of our vacation. Does that mean the crowds will all want the dining, and the place will be empty during that week? That would be nice for us. :-) -- Kitty (TDC Bashful) remove "whiskers" to e-mail

Hmmmm.... interesting indeed. Perhaps this is a marketing try. Like Bashful said, maybe the crowds will think or re-think their arrival dates. Perhaps Disney is testing whether they can manipulate the crowds even more. Perhaps Disney wants to see if people will change ressies around. Perhaps Disney wants to see more crowds on these dates. Perhaps... ah who am I kidding. I have no idea. :-) peace out. john |
