Oh, how I wish I could remember far enough back. We had a double that
placed the kids inline (one behind the other) that was great. Sturdy,
quick folding, light enough in total weight. The middle separator
folded down so the younger could lay down and nap.

Got it at a garage sale in 1998, just before my son was born. Sadly,
searching google, I find nothing like it. I can only suggest hunting
garage/yard sales.

Hi Steve, a little late (just got back from vacation),
When my twins were young, we had a double stroller. side by side.
I don't rember the brand but it worked pretty well. Each side could
lay down independantly. The top was one unit, covered both sides.
Couldn't leave one side uncovered and one covered. Had a nice storace
area underneath the seats towards the back. Handles wide enough to
hang a diaper bag without it dragging on the ground. If both boys
weren't in the stroller, had to redistribute the weight otherwise it
would fall over bavckward! We learned that fast! Sometimes was a pain
to navigate through narrow isles. We drive to Disneyworld but the
couple times we flew to other destinations, it folded rather compactly
and checked at the gate. Never took Disney buses with it but on the
Monorail, the footprint was rather small. Never needed to take one
kid back to a hotel room. We always stayed together. It took a
little while to learn how to fold it but became second nature.
Downside was at the end of the day with diaper bag, camera bag,
purhases, tired kids, etc. it was a handful to manage the kids and
belongings while trying to fold the stroller. The folding was the easy
part!

Those are some pros and cons from what I remeber using a double
stroller. I didn't mind it as we never thought about any other
options! We did with what we had. With more adults to help, 2
singles might work out better. I enjoyed the storage space! Less to
carry around.
