The fact that the earth goes through regular cyclical warming and cooling is accepted scientific fact. *ALL* scientists know and accept that. What is going on now is a debate as to whether or not man is making it worse. Many scientists think they are. But none, I repeat *NONE*, argue that global warming has not been going on for over 10,000 years. Ever heard of "The Ice Age"?

But particularly in the oil business there are a whole lot of jobs that have up to 6 months paid leave per year. Of course we tend to work 80-100 hours a week during the other 6 months.

Very true. Everything is hot. Cold is simply a comparative term about how hot something is compared to something else. Absolute zero has never been achieved. Never will be.
