That last statement is simply not true. I've challenged it before. Can
you cite a valid reference (as opposed to a politician saying that it's
so)?

All of them are examples of how not to run a system.

I've been in 40 or 50 countries on 5 continents. I've lived and worked
in dozens of countries on 5 continents. When I think of quality of
life, the US is head and shoulders above most of the others. The only
one that comes even close is Australia. Europe doesn't have a country
that's even in the running. There are several Asian countries I would
put above most of Europe.

Here's a list of the top of my head. I'm sure I missed a few: Angola,
Australia, Belgium, Benin, Cambodia, Canada, China, Congo - DR, Congo -
R, Denmark, England, Fiji, Finland, Germany, Germany - East (before
unification), Hong Kong (before unification), Hungary, India,
Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea - South, Latvia, Macau
(before unification), Malaysia, Monaco, Morocco, Nepal, Netherlands,
Nigeria, Pakistan, Papua Niugini, Philippines, Portugal, Russia,
Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, US, Vietnam.

No problem.

And that just proves that you can work and live in a country and don't
know anything about what's going on.

I spend a month in the US every year and, while I usually enjoy the
time there and generally like the place, would not dream of relocating
there.

Speaking about Stalinism and the failure of the former Eastern European
regimes in a discussion about health systems very much says it all.

Still nonsense. You can't put Medical care, socialism and food in a
single sentence without looking quite silly.

Whatever name you want to put. You are a shining example of that people
of a certain ideology.

I look at the figures and it's better and cheaper, for me and the
community.

Not for me, I'd rather have the queuing whiners take one and stop
saying bullshit.

It's working fine around here, thanks for your concern.

That's a bit of an exaggeration, although Europe is famous for its
mediocrity and thus doesn't have nearly as high a standard as it could
have. I can't comment on the other continents.
