From: Smee on 11 Aug 2010 00:22 Has anyone gotten an offer from the ElCo lately? I think I may have gotten 2 in the past year and none in the past 4-5 months. Have they gotten so big that they no longer want my money? I have gotten monthly offers from the Golden Gate and about 4 from the MSS and Golden Nugget, and I have never stayed at the last 2. I'm just curious as I just booked my flight for the weekend of 12/1-14 and will be spending most of it downtown. ------ RecGroups : the community-oriented newsreader : www.recgroups.com

Today, I got an offer from Binion's for free rooms @ the Four Queens & a Sept. offer from the Golden Gate. I've already received offers from the Venetian/Palazzo, Fitz, & MSS. Cameron
From: terry tesch on 11 Aug 2010 23:31 Our last offer was from April -june 30. Three free nights, $50.00 in slot play, $50.00 in food, and complimentary miniature. El Co has always done this until you get the next one, like Cam said will come in the fall. That doesn't mean you can't get the same deal in the summer, you just have to talk to a host, and if your play is the same as it was when you got the letter, you will probably get the free room. But like any casino, they try to get you there in the slow times-june,july, and aug. Most people don't want to be in Vegas in 100plus weather-except for 20 somethings and people who have never been there.
From: terry tesch on 11 Aug 2010 23:44 I forgot to respond about the aroma in the elevator. We were there in Oct., and I could not beleive how bad it was. I mentioned something on here, and nobody beleived me. But then we were there in April, and the scent was not so strong. It's sad that the restaurant was not that clean, but if the food is still good, that's most important. As much as we hate to say something bad, we should mention it when we leave. Don't say anything before you order or they will spit in your food, I love the ElCo

I get many offers from Fitzgeralds, and the last one I got (a few months ago) was a stay one night the second night's free offer. No comped room. I should have gotten an offer for July-August, as my bride's birthday is in August, but nothing. Are the comps drying up in this economy? Seems like they'd give more comps to get people in the door.
