An article in today's Wall St Journal says Jet Blue airlines hires a
lot of of former cops and fire fighters as flight attendants. This
works out good because captains can't leave the cocpit anymore to deal
with disorderly passengers and fire fighters have a lot of first aid
knowlege. Of course it helps when passengers have special training
also that can be used to assist the flight crew. I think these
passengers should get a cheaper fare. For example I have a Black belt
in karate and a lot of first aid knowlege from my days as a Boy Scout.
