Off topic Stu but your comment about how noisy the Oasis of the Seas
must be with 5400 passengers was way off. I was on the Oasis in January
and at no time felt crowded or overwhelmed by noisy kids. That ship is
laid out so each age group has their own space with plenty of amusements
for every age.
There is one section forward that is for adults only. A sign states
that. We were there one night and there are two huge hot tubs, lit from
beneath, a small bar set up and ample chairs and lounges. And quiet
music was playing.
Our balcony overlooked Central Park. This was always quiet, day and
night. Like a park should be. Trees, flowers and lots of greenery all
over with plenty of benches and chairs to sit and rest. Lit up nicely
at night with old fashioned lamp posts.
It never seemed crowded even in the theaters.
The Windjammer buffet was the most crowded place on the ship. I
thoroughly enjoyed myself on that cruise.

I have not been on Oasis yet but the most crowded noisy ship I have
been on was Carnival Miracle. Never found a very quiet place. The large
Royal Caribbean ships like Liberty and Freedom of the Seas felt less
crowded than that Carnival ship even though they were larger.

We came into San Juan and there was a RC parked at the wharf, the
complete stern was kids on the rock wall and playing badmonton I
think, in the pool etc. You want noise, it was unbelieveable, not for
me.

The sports areas are well designed and separated on the Royal Caribbean
ships. They are much better designed ships and more beautiful than
Carnival ships. There have quiet adults only pools called Solariums.
The pool areas were horrible and noisy on the Carnival Miracle.

If only the food on Royal Caribbean was as good as on Carnival....

RCI has done a consistent job over the years of seperating "noisy" and
"queit" areas. The rock wall and Flowrider were always noisy but walk
past the doors into the Solarium and all was peacful and tranquil.

In general, I have found the noise levels on both lines to be about
the same at the pools for the "proles".

The food on the Liberty otS was very good. I was very pleased with
it.
