It seems like there's a standing wave of economic gloom out there, still. Def. groceries before the Poly. > > BTW- good luck with your application at the Community College-! Oh it came across that way. Stop taking me so seriously. It was fun for me and PiC, not so much for the bumper. But I do have fun pointing it out to people! But at the time, we didn't know it was going to be like that. And show PiC a damn pic of a bear cub... (Yes, I'm blaming her. That is certainly true although there were traffic jams for other animals. When we went, we were excited the first time we saw a bison but they were so common, seeing one lost its luster. We were joking that we would just pull to the side of the road at a random location where there wasn't an animal to see what others would do. > >But at the time, we didn't know it was going to be like that. I've gotten into Volvos at auto shows but never found one that was large enough with enough leg room to be comfortable for me.

Bears are still interesting, so are moose, but it depends on the circumstances. I've found idiots will actually park their car on the road, in a lane of traffic for bears. If I was in a rental 4x4, I would have pushed the &%R*$#& car out of the way... >We were joking that we would just pull to the side of the road at a >random location where there wasn't an animal to see what others would >do. Don't forget to point a lot. And make sure to park someplace that you can get out from when you cause the traffic jam. And take video.
