I am now retired. So I am not now in the computer industry. Martin was in the computer industry for many years. He is now retired. He is not now in the computer industry. You were transferred to France when employed in the computer industry. You lost your job, for whatever reason and you are now a teacher of American English and a tour guide. You are definitely, certainly, unequivocally, NOT in the computer industry. And yes, I am still a Doctor even though I am retired but it would be extremely ill-mannered to parade any academic or professional qualifications which are not now being used. JohnT

It's ill-mannered to parade credentials no matter what the circumstances, but I don't see how that applies here. How does not actively having a job in an industry disqualify a veteran of that industry from commenting on that industry? -- Transpose mxsmanic and gmail to reach me by e-mail. |
