From: John Sisker on 4 Aug 2008 23:18 While nothing to do with cruising, it is amazing how many were actually drawn in on this subject... and now me included. Okay, in this particular case, I'll bite and join in on some of the most ridiculous sounding threads in a long time. It is amazing how the hind-sight of some arm-chair heroes, has mysteriously become 20/20. Yet, there were actually quite a few who were smart enough to know that unless one was actually there personally, commenting on exactly what they would have done (or not done), simply continuing on with the typical rhetoric of the hypocrite of the high-seas. How one would have seemingly got involved in the situation, naturally would depend on the circumstances at the time, and short of becoming a victim themselves by acting foolishly, involvement may have been weighed against the event. As for me personally, other than becoming a dead hero, I would have done as much as practical under the circumstances. Naturally, like everyone else, I wasn't there, so commenting on what others should or should not have done is totally ludicrous. And look at the all too familiar names in the thread. Some of those are obviously very quick to judge, but also would be the first to have their table changed on their cruise if their table-mates just happened to be the wrong race, religion or color. How did you decide what strangers on USENET have or have not ever seen? And how did you also come to the conclusion that you somehow hold or express more "Humanity" just because you babble on about it on a USENET newsgroup? Geesh. Psych nurses. Known for often being the ones in need of the most therapy. <sigh>

You need the therapy.
