Hi dear,
I'm planning to be in Halkidiki peninsula in july : first of all do you
think wifi is available in rooms for rent? Last summer i toured entire
Greece and i found wifi almost all over the country. In case i won't find
wifi spots, what do you suggest me for internet connection, which
unfortunately i need for business reasons, when i'm in vacations also.

thanks much

alex

Most of the bigger/newer hotels and resorts in Halkidiki offer
Internet access. This started with "Internet cafes" on the premises,
but I'm sure by now thay have upgraded to wifi access. Greece
generally is very up-to-date on communications.

I think you're much less likely to find it at 'studios'/apartments which are
typically privately owned and operated by the owner. They're aimed at the
package tourist rather than the business person so there's no incentive to
provide it.

has all the mobile network tariffs if you want to use a phone or dongle as
an internet access option (it's worth reading the whole thread as well,
though some of the earlier posts are now out of date)
