Over busy weekend killed off all smoking plans. Friday, took care of a
boatload of legal and financial stuff that took over seven hours to
complete (hoping would have only been four). Then, the only Friday
fireworks turned out to be over an hours drive (estimating delay for
traffic).

Saturday, went to see Last Airbend in the morning, dinner invitation to
pop-in-laws came as we got back, so left the smoker in the garage.

Sunday was church, community 4th of July parade (my daughter decorated
my son's bike for the competition), rain popped through just when we got
back from community picnic (also ate to many hot dogs).

Today, I need to work on my wife's car (used part just came in), and my
daughter has a mandatory church youth group meeting in regards to
mission trip next weekend that requires I attend.

So, my BBQ plans went up in smoke, and the pig stuff remains frozen.
Gonna try some quick grill chicken before the youth meeting tonight.

Tomorrow, life returns to some semblance of normalcy. Phooey.

That's a hell of a way to spend a holiday weekend. I'd get my money
back from whoever's in charge of holiday weekends, if I were you...

Can't complain, it was my own undoing.
