Hey all

I am planning another trip for this coming October this coming
September. I have just started looking at hotels and rental cars for
Oct. 18- Oct. 22. While doing this I discovered that I can use my
Delta FF to pay for all or part my rental car or hotel. In any event I
think I can do better on my own for the rental car, but as far a hotel
i can get some hotels including the Palace Station for free. I also
noticed that I can stay at Harrah's by adding $2.67 to my miles for a
double or twin CLASSIC. Just wondering what everyone's thoughts are
about this hotel.

Palace Station charges an extra $15/night resort fee, while Harrah's adds no resort
fee, so you still come out ahead with Harrah's. Also, Palace Station is away from
the Strip; Harrah's has a much better location right on the Strip near Venetian,
Mirage, etc. Harrah's rooms should be at least as good as what you'd get at P.S.,
probably better.

Harrahs has the location, center strip with lots of options nearby,
dinning, shopping. The room will be clean but not huge. If the pool is a
big thing then look around some more. The crowd will be a bit older than
lets say Planet Hollywood. What is important to you? Tom in Ct

I am aware of the the resort fee of $15 at the Palace Station, as I
have stayed there in the past. Even with that fee I stay did very well
in terms of price there. I did see on the Harrah's website where they
would charge the resort fee if the room was booked online. I hope this
applies to me.

Thanks

I stayed at Harrah's recently and was very impressed.

Only kind of funky thing is that the room air conditioner is run by a
sensor which turns it on only when somebody is in the room. I still
haven't figured out how it works, but when you open the door it pops
on full blast. I tried to see if it would shut off by lying very
still, but it would not.

The buffet there is very good! :)
