Having read that, I would expect a) there will be no other children on board - you will have to babysit your own children 24/7 and they should be quiet, well-behaved children. I recommend strenuous activity every day on shore so that they don't have a lot of excess energy and bringing their own electronic games to occupy them otherwise.. b) They will NOT make an exception for children because the rooms are not set up so that they can just stick a cot in there. If they allow it (and they may require a person over 18 in each cabin), you may have to get a separate cabin or even (as their policy suggests), bring an older person to stay in their cabin with them - maybe an older unmarried family member (grandmother, niece) who would like a trip. Otherwise it sound like just what you want. If that doesn't work out for you I might suggest chartering a boat with a crew someplace like the Virgin Islands. Some of the larger catamarans can take 10-12 guests and you can get a captain to run the boat and a cook. ..

All of the mass market lines require an adult on the cabin booking, but will happily set up the cabin arrangements once aboard so that the kids are in one room and the adults in another. Again, another question the OP should direct to Sea Dream so they get the most desirable cabin arrangements. Traveling with a nanny sure makes the trip easier for all concerned, although the idea of the nanny sleeping in the same cabin as the kids creates the same 3-in-a-room issue. I wouldn't be surprised if that's a non-issue. The stateroom couches may make out into a bed; if not, it would only take linens and bed pillows to make a couch into a twin bed just right for a 9- or 10-year-old. Diana
