Looks like that is the show my friend and I will end up attending in
Oct. Anyone care to give an honest review and are tickets available at
Tickets Tonight locations?
Donnie and Marie was my "guests first choice but it looks like their
engagement ends on 9/30. Cher was next but I'm not crazy about her and
15 costume changes in a 90 minute show is a bit much. We have both
seen The Blue Men or Jersey Boys and The Rat Pack at the Plaza was just
a NO, and neither of us are really into a cirque show.

I saw the show when it first played in the Shimmer Cabaret at the LV
Hilton and enjoyed it, but one concern is its new venue. From what I
have read, it does not play in the V-Theater proper, but in a small
showroom upstairs. Secondly, it gets mixed reviews. If you are going
to see a Motown show why not see the best, aka Human Nature. Comments
from those who have seen the show, myself included, have been
uniformly positive. You can purchase tickets through Goldstar, but
don't waste your money purchasing the VIP seats. In all likelihood
the regular tickets will put you seated next to the VIP
purchasers.

I think it was February I saw Hitzville. It's an okay show if you want to hear some
of the old Motown hits performed live. Supremes, Temps, Four Tops, Gladys Knight et
al., a bit of Tina Turner, backed by a 6-piece-or-so band. The show is not in the
main V theater downstairs, but in a smaller room upstairs. The stage is small and
cramped; don't expect any elaborate choreography. There are a few rows of chairs in
front of the stage and a few more rows off to either side. If you get in line early
enough, they'll seat you in the center portion.

Not worth full-price, but discounts are available at Goldstar.com; I can't say for
sure if Tix4Tonight has them, but they should.

As an alternative, the "Human Nature" show is very popular, but personally I can't
get into 4 Australian guys singing Motown. You can find clips of them on Youtube.

Smee,

We weren't all that impressed by Hitzville. It's OK, but just OK. Good
band though. We saw it at the Hilton, so there may be some changes in
the move to the V theater.

I get daily text messages from Tix4Tonight and the one today has
Hitzville listed, including a VIP line pass and $2 off each ticket. You
can sign up by texting your phone # to '75309'.

If you honestly wanted to see Donny & Marie, and saw Jersey Boys and
liked it, one other to consider is Barry Manilow at Paris, also usually
available at discount around town. I know it sounds crazy, but he puts
on a very good show and he still has the voice and the backup band and
singers to pull it off.

Barry sounds good BUT, the show is dark during the week.
I'm really looking for a show for Wed. 10/6. For some reason that
seems to be a transition week with not many shows running.
