I have spent a couple of frustrating afternoons and evenings at
DFW chasing my departure flight. One time, during the two hours
we had between flights on American, the gate changed three times
and the flight was finally cancelled.

The Delta people will likely direct you to a "transit area" where you will
receive expedited instructions.

I've never had a problem moving quickly. However, never done the transit
thing at CDG. Don't leave the secure area & get good answers from DL FA's
