Extreme wind, cold and humidity?

There are places that aren't like either extremes of weather.

We haven't been back to Scotland since we had a disastrous rain and
gales all the time cold summer sailing holiday in a summer that was one
of the hottest of the century elsewhere in Europe including the North of
England.

I didn't mention the midges.
