If you have a router - nothing changed. If you don't and you're on cable modem - nothing changed. ISP usually gives you same IP for 24 hours or so. TO see your public IP, go to www.DSLreports.com/tools click WHO IS. http://www.dslreports.com/whois It will show you your IP address. try scenarios.

Heck, even if you need to change your IP for some reason (such as being hacked and someone else using your machine) it takes quite a bit for cox to move you off an IP... and you won't do it calling the regular service number that's for sure.
