Everyone is looking for some kind of deal and airplane tickets are one
of the most popular items that people search for. There are so many
different prices for the same seat on a plane, the only difference is
when and how and from whom you purchased your ticket. That is why
before you purchase any airline ticket do your homework. In this
article I would like to suggest some of the best ways to get best
prices on airline tickets.
First, take advantage of the internet all of the online travel sites
are now offering some of the best prices. I suggest you look at least
three sites and try again on different days at different times as
prices vary a great deal.
Second, plan ahead and be flexible as to the day you leave and from
what airport you leave from. If your city has a secondary airport
their prices can be much cheaper. You may even want to consider
driving to another city close to you, if you can save money leaving
from that city instead of your hometown.
Third, you may also want to check directly with the airlines.
Sometimes they offer great deals on their own that are not offered on
online discount sites.
Fourth, many people feel they get a good deal through their personal
travel agent. Remember you do not pay for their services and they may
have some special connection with an airline or carrier so they can
compete.
Fifth, if you are going on a vacation you may want to consider a
package deal. If you purchase the plane ticket,hotel and excursions
together you can save money.
Lastly, airlines try to promote loyalty by giving frequent flyer
miles. As enticing as they may sound, sometimes it is better to just
find the best deal you can on any airline. Remember it is getting much
more difficult to use those frequent flyer miles.
