Does your son know what you did in his room? LOL. Nice trip report!

Chef Kurt is a prince!

Thanks for the details on your experience with the 24-hour buffet deal. It was so
hot in June I didn't feel like trying it.

Cool, Gary Lockwood. He went from "Star Trek" to Kubrick's "2001", playing the
astronaut who got murdered by HAL.

"M*A*S*H"! When I saw that in a theater it was part of a double-feature with
"Patton". What a combo.

Thanks for the report, and good luck with the house offer.

I'm a bit surprised at this, also. I'd consider a different agent. Which
part of Anthem were you looking at? We may have crossed paths. <grin>

We made an offer on a Short Sale several months ago and still have not had
any confirmation or rejection by the lenders. Notice I said lenderS, and
that complicates things a good deal. Our Short Sale offer has expired by
the passage of time, though we've not requested our GFD back yet. In the
meantime, our agent had no problems and even encouraged us to look at more
short sales, owner occupied and foreclosures and to make an offer on another
home. This second offer is on a foreclosure. The first offer last week was
essentially rejected, but we're making a second one a bit closer to the
listing price and will see what happens.

During the hunt, I also encountered my first house that was in the process
of being vandalized and stripped. It made me almost sick to see things like
a ceiling fan ripped from the ceiling, trash, filth and what I considered
deliberate vandalism to what was formerly a nice house.

Hopefully, you'll have better luck than we've been having and will quickly
settle in on a good house. Good luck and good hunting.

5 houses? That's a LOT of work. She probably would put in offers for a
couple of them though.

Here's something to think about though... if someone seems "picky"
(which you two are), what's the likihood of them finding five houses
simultaneously that they liked well enough to buy? Just saying that
would make them sound like shoppers, rather than potential buyers.
