From: The DOS Man on 17 Sep 2008 07:33 Don: Get it at the 99 Cent store on Sunday for less than the newsstand price. Great way to get some exercise, walk the cat (yup she walks) and get some coffee at the Vons on the way. What I hate is once you subscribe to the LVRJ, you wind up on everyone's calling list. I stopped with magazines too. While it costs more, who needs all the junk mail, and phone calls? Not 13 minutes before you posted this, you said you get the paper delivered. "Certainly, Dipshit. Steal it off my lawn or after it's in my garbage can". M Can't you at least remember the lie you just told 13 minutes earlier? Gary
From: Las Vegas on 17 Sep 2008 22:47 I forgot about that. The 99 cent store sure as hell does have the Sunday paper for 99 cents. I do not remember the ads being in it, right?? I need the ads to buy what I don't need to balance the cost of the paper out. :) I forgot all about that! Thanks for reminding me and sharing it with others here in the ng. From: The DOS Man on 19 Sep 2008 06:00 I do get it delivered. And somebody steals it sometimes!. I noticed that the 99 cent store sells it cheaper. You like to read what you want to read. Let me spell it out you Bob, "Gary", sickpuppet, whatever. I get the LVRJ delivered. I walk as much as I can again now because it makes my knees stronger. One of my cats likes to walk (use a harness-never a collar) and she whines if we don't go out. From my house to the store round trip is a good mile walk. I used to walk my sister's dogs when I lived in the Lakes and give old Pondscum's house a wave in the morning. (I lived less than a block away.) SHK also lives in Spring Valley but not near me. I usually buy a Campbell Tomato Juice for 59 cents, pour it in my coffee cup, go next door and get ice from the AM/PM, pull out my tiny bottle of Tabasco sauce a shake in a few drops. It makes my heart kick a bit. Then I stop off at the Vons on the way back, get a great cup of coffee, flirt with the cute blond every Sunday who works in the bakery, and then go home. (They really get peeved cause I hold the cat--she is small) but I am in and out pretty quick. By the time I am back, my GF is usually up (if she is here that weekend) and making breakfast. If not, I fall into the chair, turn on the tv set and eat my Froot Loops. It is really not that complicated you know...now take off your shoes and see if you can count to ten. Next we will review colors.
