NCL also sent me tags for our next cruise, dated the day after we
upgraded, but with the old cabin number.

No probLEM, mon. Ask your TA to contact NCL and request updated tags be
sent to you. Or, contact NCL directly if you booked through them.

Here's another alternative. If you have a photo printer, print them on
4" x 6" / 102 mm x 152 mm 72 lb photo paper stock. Then insert into one
of those 4" x 6" / 102 mm x 152 mm photo key chain thingies for
additional protection. Just be sure to get one of those Lucite
thingies that come without any frame and print the tags boarderless.

Didn't they also send some blank ones?

I have never tried this, it would be interesting to see how it comes out.
However, at least for now, I will simply stick to what seemed to work so
well before, and as once again, described below.

"All the ones I've printed out are one-up on a standard sheet of 8-1/2' x
11" paper. There are fold lines to fold the sheet vertically into 3
sections, that then makes for a relatively thick tag. As for printing on
adhesive labels, your really only need the adhesive part at the ends, so
tape or stapling works just as well, and is a lot cheaper."

It looks like what you are describing would have made good little luggage
tags, more for identification purposes. However, by simply printing out the
actual luggage tags to board the ship itself, the format of 8-1/2" x 11",
folded three ways, is what the baggage handlers will be looking for. No
point in re-inventing the wheel.
