A good O'Leary interview today.
Three interesting points:

1. He predicts that BA / Iberia / American will concentrate more on
transatlantic services (at the expense of domestic and short-haul
international?) scale back

2. He thinks easyJet will eventually be snapped up by Air France.

3. He promises transatlantic by 2015 if he can source big aircraft
cheaply enough.

As well as the predictions he criticises Branson, Haji-Ioannou and
Carolyn McCall (the new easyJet boss who came from a press job). He
describes her as a 'media luvvie'. He thinks that offering standing
room on his flights is a non-starter as it would fall foul of the
regulatory authorities such as the CAA.
He spends his days in the office either looking at the Ryanair
calendar or making more noise. His view is that other airlines can't
produce cabin crew calendars as their crews are too old.

Anyone find the BBC interview link?

1000 pounds says that he wont.

Budget transatlantic doesn't scale to the Ryanair model
