I wouldn't like to have clothes with visible brand names unless they're
paying me a lot and provides the clothes for free.
Just wonder why we are supposed to go around and make advertising.
So generally I prefer clothes without visible brand names.

O.k , because the obvious question is : "where in Bangkok did you buy it"

Was your Pompeii trip from a cruise ship?
If so, was it long enough?
I only mention that because I know the the bus tours only do ~2hrs and
only see a small section of Pompeii, so they miss alot.

IMO the Naples National Archaeological Museum (Museo Archeologico
Nazionale di Napoli) is a must see, it's one of a kind.
www.marketplace.it/museo.nazionale/emuseo_home.htm

Below are Rome-Pompeii directions but I have other info and directions
to a few sites like Herculaneum, Naples Museum, etc.
They are a bit dated ('05) so some of the Links might be dead. Read
thru the thread as I and others have updated some stuff.
www.fodors.com/forums/threadselect.jsp?fid=2&tid=34665492

Herculaneum gives a good sense of actually going back in time because
it has been reconstructed quite nicely.
It's small and some areas have been closed-off so you can do a complete
tour in ~2hrs at a slow pace.
Also I recall that they finally opened the museum at the site.

If you decide to visit Herculaneum you might want to pair it with the
site 'Oplontis-Villa Poppea' which is nearby (a few minutes on the same
Circumvesuvia commuter train and 200m from the station).

I'm Shocked!!! that you had a "bad experience" at a restaurant just
outside the gates of Pompeii that caters to tourists and bus tours:-).

Just joking of course:) and I'm assuming it was the restaurant between
camping ground/hotel and Pompeii's 'Villa dei Misteri' exit?

My 1st visit to Pompeii which I never count as a visit was on a bus
tour from Rome and that is where we ate...ugh!
Extremely over cooked spaghetti with a watery sauce which would cause a
riot if served in a prison:).
