Yes, well I'll certainly try next time (I've already booked a trip for
September). Mind you they're offering �99 each way for 5 return trips - close
to a thousand quid - quite an investment.

I haven't seen any in McD's here, but those in petrol stations and
supermarkets are all bank ones.

There are lots here- more to supplement exisiting ATMs than replace
them- but people will use them for convenience. We've got one in our
college (charges �1 which is on the low side) though I expect its use
will decline now that the bar, cafe and restaurant takes cards...

There has been much criticism that in less well-off areas here there is
less access to free ATMs.

I thought they were a bit of a con when I first saw them a few years ago on
a visit back to the UK. De Gaul was right.
