Nice ship although a little bland to my tastes. Pretty broad age
demographic on this sailing. Most are from the northeast. The three
dinners have been great except for the wait to get a table. I have open
seating since the fixed seatings were booked. No wait if I go early or
late. Between 7and 8 get a pager and wait 20 minutes. Food at buffets
not as good. Okay but that is it.

Bermuda, was supposed to tender to St. George but because of winds
docked at Hamilton instead. Not many of the sailings so far have
actually done the St. George tender. Bermuda gave us a free one day
transportation pass. I took the ferry to St. George and back. Had a very
nice day. Went to Ft. Catherine and Tobacco Bay for some snorkeling.
Snorkeling only fair. Had a beer at the Tavern on the Wharf before
taking the ferry back. Docking right away at Hamilton is great for us
passengers but not good for the citizens of St. George who have been hit
hard by the cruise ships no longer docking there.

Today the weather was sunny with some wind. Had a wonderful day at
Horseshoe Beach. Harbour Night tonight.

We noticed a few weeks ago that St. Georges was terribly hurt
economically by the ships no longer docking there. Many shops were
completely closed.

Hamilton seemed less hurt, because they have banking and insurance
industries.

By bland, what do you mean exactly, Charles?
Glad you and Tom can no longer claim your "age myth" on HAL ;-)
Good to hear that you are enjoying yourself and envy your visit to Horseshoe
Bay.
Do they still have a cab up to the top to the bus stop? That is one long
walk after a hot day at the beach.
Have fun at Harbour Night!

By bland I mean the decor has no pizazz and is not very stylish.

As for the age thing I expected a cruise to Bermuda from the Northeast
not to live up to HALs reputation. I expect our Alaska cruise in August
to live up to it in spades. Although this sailing trends young, I had
dinner with two couples in their twenties tonight, from how the
activities are oriented the usual demographic on this ship from other
ports appearsto be over 80. All the music is so old and soft.

The top of the hill jitney still runs but he charges $2 now. I don't
take it because I like to walk while I stlll can. I can walk up that
hill even in the heat.
