I just read that London Transport has free bus travel for the
over-sixties. Is this for everyone or just for residents? What other
perks can you scoop up in London by waving your passport? Museums?
Theatres? Saunas? Sexclubs?

UK Residents only (and it's only London residents who get free train travel)

Most places that offer what is now politically correctly called
"concessions" offer that price to anyone over 60 or 65 (plus lots of other
categories)

Yes, I just found the website. It seems a little unfair- you can get a
German Rail Bahncard at half price just on evidence of age.

Well.... There are a range of travel discounts on offer to those of us
over 60 in the UK. For instance, I have a free pass (it cost me nothing)
which allows me free off peak BUS travel anywhere in England because I am a
resident. I also have a pass that I purchased which gives me 1/3rd off the
cost of many railway tickets anywhere in England, Scotland or Wales. The
terms
http://www.senior-railcard.co.uk/buy-senior-railcard/railcard-terms-conditions
simply say you have to be over 60 - nothing about being a resident or even a
UK citizen. http://www.senior-railcard.co.uk/are-you-eligible/eligibility
says you can buy online if you have a UK Passport or Driving Licence but if
you buy at a station it only says Birth Certificate, Valid Passport or Valid
Driving Licence.
