We were never informed directly by Princess about the change. We were
never offered the opportunity to cancel with full refund. I found out
from this board after the full payment had been made.

Regarding my posting history, which I don't believe has any relavence.
in this discussion other than in your mind, I have been a victim of
software that purports to work and do certain things and then does not
live up to its hipe. I try some software out and when it does what I
want, I buy it. I am sure with your supersleuth means, you can check
my purchase history at fry's or best buy and find I have purchased the
majority of software in question. Not that this matters in this
discussion. anymore than the federal government monitoring your
websites.

Hi Art,

That is interesting. I have bought some cars that I have not liked
after I drove them but it was to late to take them back to the dealer.
Maybe next time I should follow your lead and just go steal one and
drive it around for awhile. <:+)

Is that not the funniest thing? You see people strutting around the
ship, proudly wearing the "medal" that they "earned" for buying
cruises. I just wanna shake 'em and say, " do you know how many
thousands of $$ you spent to "achieve" this "honor"? I don't get it at
all...passengers PAY for those 100 days...they're being recognized for
spending enough $$?

I'd like to see more of a frequent flyer-style program with
cruiselines. Earn enough "miles" get free cruises.

Hi Art,

I let Princess know that I did not like this change when they
announced it. I use the Internet as much as anyone and am therefore
personally impacted along with my clients. That said, they have the
right to change their promotions even though you feel they cheated
you. You said they were in violation of your contract. I pointed out
that I could not find anything about internet access in their
contract. I never saw a reply from you on that point. Perhaps I
missed it.. They still offer some free internet which the other
cruise lines in this price range do not offer.

Best regards,
Ray

Ray,

I am glad to hear that you did contact Princess. I have heard a
great deal that Princess offered a free refund. They did not, nor did
they contact any of the people in our group to notify them of the
change. Their current brochures for sailings through 2008 include the
free internet access as a perk of the platinum level and above. That
being said, having changed their system, I do not believe that $75.00
for a 7 day cruise is equitable to $100 for an 8-20 day cruise. In
the past I have received credit for two cruises on longer cruises. It
would be more equitable to make a 14-20 day cruise have a credit of
$150.00. I also think they could add so addition benefit to Elite
level passengers. When it was free to Platinum and above, there was
no need to make a distinction. Now there is.

I also am concerned about the level of service in the internet cafe.
From what I have heard on this board, that has not improved.
