From: Meerkat1 on 17 Jul 2010 19:17 The Lallapalooza event will be held on Monday, July 26th. It will consist of an almost complete reenactment of the ****CIVIL*WAR**** We will all assemble promptly at 4pm in the lobby of our pavilion. There we will receive a complete program of all the times and events which are scattered throughout the Magic Kingdom. Note: While in the pavilion we suggest you stock up on water, snacks, etc., to tide you over until the program is complete. We also strongly suggest that you make a diiner reservation in your pavilion's restaurant. At 4:30pm we will gather outside the pavilion to watch the PIRATES (provided courtesy of the Queen of Adventureland) kickoff this grand entertainment. Event #1: The Battles The PIRATES will leave the pavilion at approximately 4:35pm and begin their reenactment of Sherman's march to the sea. Stare in astonishment as they loot and plunder their way through the MK. Gaze in wonder as they burn Toontown to the ground. The Siege of Petersburg will be reenacted by digging a tunnel, packing it with explosives and blasting Stich's Great Escape off the face of the planet. Of course there is more, much more. See your program for times and venues of the other battles which will feature fireworks. (Hint: Don't miss Gettysburg.) Note: During Event #1 you may stumble upon an unannounced activity near the fence enclosing the WDW Main Warehouse. If you do, just move on - nothing to see here folks. Your Finance Committee thanks you for your cooperation. Event #2: The Sounds and Music We have obtained the very best soloists, quartets, fife & drum corps, and regimental bands to provide you with the best music of both the North and South. You will jump out of your cloths when Angie sneaks up behind you and lets loose with her rebel yell! (Don't worry, she's a nurse and seen it all before.) Your eyes will tear up when Lorena sings with dulcet tones "Break the News to Mother' and 'Was my Brother in the Battle.' Of course there is more, much more. See your program. Event #3: The Great Personalities We have scoured the historical socities of all the major civil war venues to obtain the very best impersonators. This is your chance to chat with General Grant (perhaps challange him to a drinking contest?), ask Maj. Gen. Pickett what he was thinking as he ran up the hill. Perhaps you crave a serious chat with R. E. Lee or honest Abe, - this is your once in a lifetime chance. Dont mis it. See your program for times and places. Of course there is more, much more. Event #4: Shopping By this time you may be overheated from so much park activiy, why not cool off and enjoy yourself by spending some time in our air conditioned gift shop? Guido has obtained the Smithsonian's entire Civil War Collection and it's all for sale at reasonable prices. We suggest you use our home delivery service (extra charge). Remember - there be Pirates about. Event #5 Dining After such a full day, the last thing you want to do is go home and prepare a meal. You could, of course, eat in a restaurant; but, then you would be faced with all those pesky menu choices. Your Iron Chef has the perfect solution for these problems. Join us for our homestyle 'Eat Like A Soldier' dining event. When you enter our restaurant you make one and only one decision. Pick a table with a blue or gray tablecloth. Based on that decision we bring all the drink and food to your table until you can't take any more. We choose, you eat and drink. (Yes we have both hard and soft drinks.) At a gray table you will be served bacon, corn meal, goober peas, molasses and idiot cake (google it!). At a blue table - salt pork, fresh beef, coffee, sugar, salt, vinegar, dried fruit, vegetables and sweet potato pie. Finally, when you are through for the day we suggest you consider 'sacking out' in our main ballroom (no charge) for the night. If you have taken part in our 'Eat Like A Soldier' event you will, most likely, not be fit to drive. We have fitted out the ballroom with comfy La-Z-Boy recliners for your convenience. We strongly advise that you place your valuables in our lockers (reasonably priced). Remember - there be Pirates about. Don't miss this grand entertainment event. Support your Pavilion! I'm sure your adept makeup department easily gave other presidents the appearance of your other major Civil War personalities. -- Glenn Holliday holliday(a)acm.org

I am assuming there have been arrangements made with some of the pirates to "neutralize" the Arribas Brothers while the assault on the warehouse takes place? Joe said he is willing to help you breach the fence, if you don't need him for the Stitch's Great Escape conflagration. For which he says "Thanks!", by the way. Now I need to go rent some hoop skirts and appropriate ear bobs. The pantaloons I've already got. ~Amanda |
