Recently we have seen large numbers of children presenting with nausea,
upset stomach, and vertigo. At first we treated the symptoms with
anti-nausea meds and suggested a call back if the symptoms persisted
more than a day or two.

We have now determined that these symptoms are due to the fact that
Disney has given the Tea Cups a 'tune up' and they are now too intense
for some little tykes.

Specifically, what is happening is that when the ride's main rotation
aligns with the cup's rotation the child's inner ear fluid starts
rotating as well. This causes the symptoms. On rare occasions, the
child's middle ear fluid may become blocked and not drain fully. This
causes difficulty hearing and is not relate to the Tea Cups.

Fortunately, there is a simple cure. Stand facing the child toe to toe.
With your right hand grasp the child's left wrist. Next, with your left
hand grasp the child's right wrist. Finally, lean back and spin around
so that centrifugal force causes the child's body to go horizontal to
the ground. Keep spinning for about 20 seconds. It is important that you
spin in the opposite direction of the rotation of the Tea Cups. If you
failed to notice this, bring the child to your clinic. I will be able to
determine the proper direction of spin by noting how the child staggers.

Unfortunately, this service is not covered by most insurance and there
is a $25 charge.

In an unrelated manner, I have heard that Keane is looking forward to
hearing my rebel yell. Glad to oblige.

Your liability insurance is all paid up, I trust.

You wish. I've sharpened my axe. 'Angie' is a much better name than
'Lefty'.

Doesn't look pretty, does it?

How did you edit Angie to Lefty? MT Newswatcher does not let me edit old
posts.

You can't change quoted material? I think I've been able to in any
newsreader I've had. It's only text...

OK I figured out how to do it. One can edit the text even though it's
grayed out. I don't believe that's consistent with Mac conventions. But
it works. I learned something.

Thanks
