Barcelona has resorts easily accessible by train (and also bus) too. Pretty easy to take the bus from Malaga to other resorts- e.g. Nerja. I generally find it slightly easier to get cheaper flights to Barcelona than Malaga but YMMV. -- (*) of the royal duchy of city south and deansgate www.davidhorne.net (email address on website) "[Do you think the world learned anything from the first world war?] No. They never learn." -Harry Patch (1898-2009)

They opened some new terminal areas at Barcelona airport early this year. The result was that if you fly Easyjet you're in for a hell of a long walk and with very poor signposting. Better ensure that this couple can handle that. As a city destination (it doesn't have much seaside) Barcelona itself makes a lot of sense for an elderly couple, as its public transport system is very easy to use. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- e m a i l : j a c k @ c a m p i n . m e . u k Jack Campin, 11 Third Street, Newtongrange, Midlothian EH22 4PU, Scotland mobile 07800 739 557 <http://www.campin.me.uk> Twitter: JackCampin
