If your traveling by public transport , which in Switzerland is the worlds best , you could take the post bus over the mountains to Domodossola Station from Brig Station and then pick up a train to Venice. it will take longer , but more mountain views, no need to book, only do it if the weather is good though. http://www.postbus.ch/en/index_pag/pag_freizeit/pag_vs_loisirs.htm

Although its an enginering masterpiece the Scenery is none to good if the best bit is above a long tunnel. |
