I personally think the TSA (transportation security administration) in
the US should be scrapped, it's a waste of tax money and resoursces.

Most of the time, I see it as more hastle than it's worth and a bunch of
idiots running whiz bang machines...

I trained as a chemist. A good chemist or technician can use an
instrument and find things that an untrained person would miss.

Mamy of the problems have been caused by people with mental issues....

the TSA is a few politicians "feel good" action to say they have done
something....

the TSA rules are costing the Airlines and others money....

Now, I can not take my video camera to any airline, before the TSA, I
could take my camera or laptop to any airline and send next flight out.
I have to use Federal Express or someone like them....

Whats wrong with having someone examine the camera or laptop (bring in
unwrapped, and unboxed) , give me a certificate, put it in a sealed bag
(tape it closed) and let me take it to any airline I want....

I've had good and bad experiences. I know people are just doing their
job, following orders, etc... Government agencies should be there to
serve the public, not have the public serve them...
