This business of splitting votes is overblown. Voters listen to the BS
coming from both sides but when they vote, they will be making one
decision..."do I like the job the current officeholder is doing? If the
answer is NO, they will vote for someone else even though they may not
agree with them on every issue.
They may not like Sharon angle because she said "get rid of social
security. She is only one person and cannot get rid of SS by herself and
the voter knows this.. but if they don't like harry Reid, she will get
their vote.
Voters will approve or disapprove of the current officeholder and NOT
necessarily be voting FOR the challenger.
