From: Big Mikey on 4 Feb 2010 11:18 What did you think of the list, Frank? And which ones have you eaten at? While I do indeed like steak, steak houses are really not my choice when eating out (and Mini will not eat steak at all). I could give John a second list with a lot of good places a lot less expensive that would suit most people just fine. Places like Austins, Billy Bobs, and Cadillac Ranch would make my list. But he was right on with The Steakhouse at Cirrus Circus and Golden Steer. I ate at Golden Steer last year and didn't notice any difference in quality or service although I did not eat steak. Did you also notice that JC is writing (again) for Las Vegas Weekly? From: westie2f on 4 Feb 2010 12:58 Mike I have never dined at any of them preferring off Strip places/ prices. We dined at Golden Steer twice many, many years ago, but I am sure it was on something other than on steak. We don't eat steak all that often, but if I wanted a good one at a reasonable price I would head to Austin's with a restaurant.com gift certificate in hand and share a big ribeye with my wife. I did notice John is writing for LV Weekly, but did not realize he wrote for them in the past. I read his rantings and reviews on his Eating Las Vegas website on a regular basis. - Westie - aka Frank
From: Big Mikey on 4 Feb 2010 15:00 I agree. Austin's works fine for me. Actually my favorite is Billy Bobs. The portions, size and quality are all in sync.
