Heck, *I'm* planning on making a donation. I just have a spot in my heart
for this place.

My kids loved it. And so did I. I was surprised at how many animals
they have in the park besides Gators. I'm going to buy an annual pass .
I live about 7 miles from the attraction.

A little over a thousand a day - so figure more like 2000 during the summer.
If they run the jump-a-roo four times a day, that means a busy day might
have 400 people crowded around the arena, which sounds about right.

The thing is, the words "Gatorland" and "January" really don't mix. My first
trip there was in January of '92, when the place might better have been
named "Logland", and the show called the "float-a-roo". So this park really
is a seasonal place. Save your time and money in the winter.

Their assessment of the grand entry gator is that it is a bit singed,
but repairable. Interestingly, it was separate from the building by
just enough that even though there is no structure behind it, it seems
intact. Soot-coated in a few places, but seems intact.

The video of the flames coming out of the entryway did give it a cool,
dragon-like look, though!

Right now, the owners have targeted November 22 for their reopening
date. Aside from the front building [mainly the gift shop and offices],
the structure of the actual animal area was basically undamaged.
