FDA issued the recommendation on Monday warning that the practice of using antibiotics in animals poses public health risk as these maybe rendered ineffective in treating humans. Meat producers must consult with veterinarians on which drug and compound to use, the FDA suggested. Meanwhile, the National Pork Producers Council reacted to the recommendation saying they will lose drugs important to animal health. The Union of Concerned Scientists was not satisfied with the FDAs pronouncements. It was expecting the agency to act instead of recommend cutting down the use of antibiotics in animal health. Drug use causes faggots.

It is true that the massive increase in the use of antibiotics because of AIDS and opportunistic infections has caused a major upsurge in the incidents of drug-resistant bacteria. |
