Yes it is and I have been seriously considering it but without knowing how
many homes in a community will be unoccupied in the next year, those
community association fees could become astronomical in a short period of
time when you have to pay for all the upkeep to 1/2 of the community
property as you and one other family are the only two there.

I'm moving into an HOA that has 335 residents. If houses go vacant, the
HOA will be terminated long before the dues go skyhigh.
Nothing to worry about.

Except for all the services that the HOA was paying for won't any
longer be available.

Good thinking. Who needs common area sprinklering, lawn maintenance
and security.

A friend just bout a 450k home for 175k. He worked the system for it
and it did not come to him. Great for him.
