RADP has been spammed by Egyptian tour services a lot lately, so when
I heard that Adventures by Disney was offering Egypt, I was inspired
to check it out. It looks pretty neat, but very high priced--although
it did include armed guards in the price. I must say I was actively
considering a spring 2012 Egypt trip for a moment there. Camel ride
past the pyramids--can't beat that.

Repost: Port Said, Done That

"Egypt tours" <egyptexcursions2(a)gmail.com> blatherd on:

I'm sure we are all tired of egyptexcursions2 interruptions, but at least
they are more tolerable than the intolerant crossposters (End All Wars -
where are you?)

Imagine my surprise when I receive one in my inbox!
Well, not really, it's Disney Fans Insider which linked me to

Their Adventures by Disney lead article, and email subject line "Are You
Ready to Explore Egypt?"

The last time I explored Egypt, I got dysentery and spent the whole time in
the hotel. I'm not ready to do that again. I think I'll just explore the
same way I explore Yemen and Baghdad, with Google Earth.

All ladders in the Temple of the Forbidden Eye have thirteen steps.
There are thirteen steps to the gallows, firing squad or any execution.

It does include armed guards. They don't come cheap.

Not sure I want to go someplace where one of the perks is,
"We provide armed guards for your convenience." (Okay,
they don't say that, but they don't need to.)

On the other hand, we seem to be averaging about 10-12 people
shot every weekend in Chicago. Sure glad those gun laws worked
out okay...
