Let's put it this way: I don't recall not being able to open a video with my laptop. I haven't had the iPad a full two weeks yet and am still exploring its possibilities. I've been having fun with "Maps" since I discovered it linked Google maps to my address book. I also loaded my 79-page trip album(two weeks' castle-hunting in Germany*) into it and discovered I can enlarge fotos that include writing so I can read them. That touch screen is great fun! *note travel reference 8-) -- Erilar, biblioholic medievalist http://www.mosaictelecom.com/~erilarlo

Yes? I've never tried to find something like that offline with the laptop. -- Erilar, biblioholic medievalist http://www.mosaictelecom.com/~erilarlo
