Wafted from paradise to Luton Airport
Massive queues for the 3-out-of-6 immigration desks open, while several planes disgorge at once. But at least that meant the bags had been delivered to the carousel by the time we got through. The posh purple-FTR shuttle bus to the airport was replaced by a red Citaro, all liveried-up so not a temporary thing.... 27 Oct 2009 04:50
Short transfer times at London City Airport - risky?
I'm looking to travel from Glasgow to Zurich, and the BA website is offering quite a decent fare through London City Airport. However the transfer times seem very short - basicially there's 35 minutes between scheduled arrival at LCY and departure of the onward flight. I'm a little concerned that there is a sign... 26 Oct 2009 19:01
Ryanair - hand baggage
Boeing 737 800. 189 passenger seats. So 189 passengers carry on hand luggage only. Will the over-head lockers contain the permitted dimension suitcases then? Experience tells me no. ... 9 Oct 2009 05:00
Alternative flights at EMA
Several observes seem to think that EZY will be pulling out of EMA at the end of the year. The airport is desperately attempting damage-limitation by saying that all their destinations (bar Venice) are covered by other operators. That's quite unusual, as the low-costs usually try to avoid that kind of duplic... 23 Sep 2009 08:49

Save Thirteen Euros
BMIBaby check-in at AMS this morning opened a little late, although there were plenty of staff at the desks. They were in a huddle. I suspect they were hand-copying lists (I saw one later) of pax who needed special treatment - perhaps failed to give advance notice of their passport details. I can't think what els... 7 Sep 2009 06:42
Heathrow transfer times??
Hi My wife and I have a long haul trip booked for late October departing from Manchester (MAN), with the dubious pleasure of having to connect through Heathrow (into terminal 5 - out of terminal 3). Although my trip is some time off, I was idly playing with the "Manage my Booking" page on BA's website and noti... 7 Sep 2009 16:47
