I've already got my AP voucher... :-)

Saved myself a whole $10. (That 1.6%!)

I will renew my DVC AP August 22nd!!! Can't wait. I am going to
Disneyworld..... Well, I have to work for three days.

Let them raise their prices all they want, I don't care anymore.
When my AP expires in December, I won't be renewing it.

Today's Disney offers very little to the local annual passholder.

I used to enjoy driving over for the day.
Since I'd seen and done everything so many times, my enjoyment was
primarily eating in a sit-down restaurant, live entertainment,
visiting the smaller attractions and watching the fireworks shows.

Paying good money for no dining availability, gutted live
entertainment, standing in line for an hour or more for the
attractions that remain open, etc. has really gotten old.

Sure, there are attractions and "places" I'll miss, but what little I
love -- and, in effect, still have practical access to -- is just not
worth the ever-increasing price Disney charges, for the ever-declining
experience. It's insulting.

Nobody ever loved the Disney themeparks more than I did!
I have come to detest the Walt Disney Company and their business
practices.
(Where I *used* to admire the company.)

Also, the rudeness and bad behavior by our fellow guests has seriously
impacted the experience.
(No, I don't blame Disney for this.)
People snapping pictures, with their cellphones, cameras and video-
recorders, in dark theatres and attractions is now the rule.
Typically, I have to tolerate 6-to-10 bright LCD screens lit-up in the
American Adventure. A few weeks ago, I had idiots shooting-off flash-
cameras, during the dark Earth-view star-field at Spaceship Earth
(directly into my face, as my vehicle had already rotated). A couple
weeks before that, a jerk shooting flash-pictures during the entire
Summer Nightastic fireworks, finally blinding me by shooting directly
into my face.
As is talking loudly during entire shows and attractions.
People sit with crying infants for entire shows.
Strollers as battering-rams.

And, the crowds...
Disney keeps packing-in more-and-more guests.
Yet, continues cutting hours, closing attractions early and failing to
operate enough restaurant capacity for the steerage guests without sit-
down dining reservations.

I hope they make lots of money.

[sigh] I see this all too often and not just in this forum. And I am
not responding only because of Bob's Disney diss. I see dissing in here
frm others but despite what I sometimes read I still come in, because I
love all things Disney. I envy many of you.... most of you in fact. You
have the ability, time and means to go to WDW. And sometimes more than
once a year. I remember those days when we went several times a year.
Right after 1 trip, we were planning the next one. In fact when we'd
get back to our room we'd make notes to be sure to do this or that next
time. And yes things back then had been complainable. Some of our notes
were to NOT do this or that. :-) But we were thrilled beyond comparison
that we were able to visit WDW. 23 visits from 1984 to 1999 and EACH one
was better than the last. Ok, so we could not always get the dining
place of our choice. So what if we could not see all the attractions we
wanted to in 1 day. So what if we had to pony up an extra 20 bucks per
night to stay at this resort or that one. And so what if we could not
even stay at our first 5 choices of resorts. I'd rather sleep in an
unairconditioned tent at WDW's campground than stay at the Omni Hotel.
I'd rather eat dinner at Casey's than at the finest 5-star restaurant in
Pittsburgh. No, I am not exaggerating. I LOVE Pittsburgh. You guys have
heard me mention that name in just about every post. But a bad, stormy,
hurricane day with having a headache, an upset tummy and a stubbed toe
while in WDW is better than a super day in da 'burgh. Do I think people
are wrong for their diss-opinions of WDW? Nope. But sometimes I just
have to speak out. I tried not to respond to this thread 'cuz I knew
this would be kinda long. But I just HAD to. Well folks, to those of you
who have had it with Disney's money hungry ways and you have tickets you
no longer want, email me and I'll email you my home address and you can
send them to me. Or if you have airline tickets but won't go to WDW
because you have to change planes 3 or 4 times, hey I'll take your
tickets. You only got ressies for a few less-than-choice restaurants?
Give those places my name. I'll be glad to eat there FOR you. Don't like
DME or waiting 2 hours in line or huge crowds or strollers banging you
in the back of the legs or... or... or whatever, hey I will gladly go in
your place. Walt Disney World is still the most magical, wonderful
place in all the universe. And when I am there using your tickets and
stuff and Mickey looks me in the eye and asks where so-and-so is, I'll
tell Mickey that I am here instead because so-and-so hates your money
grubbing ways.

peace out. john
