sue, sorry to hear that you wouldn't feel responsible enough to be
able to make it back to port when the Cozumel stopover is usually an
*entire day*. We have made all the usual Cozumel stops in our four
visits there without ever having a problem and by renting you get the
freedom of pulling into several secluded beach spots, see and eat
downtown and enjoy the entire island. The car rental is not much more
expensive than the tour.

There are people who rent cars by the mass and you pass them and they
pass you on the tiny island of Cozumel. Really isn't much worry for
anyone who can wave a white hanky if they get in trouble. <vvbg>

If it's Labadee, then almost by definition it has to be RCI or
Celebrity, since it is their private destination (they called it an
island, but it's not). I'm also pretty sure they keep the
"charity-seekers" out since everyone who is there has to be approved by RCI.
